Born in 1965, I’m the oldest Gen-Xer possible. (1965-1980).
That makes me 56 years old & most days a happy soul growing older gracefully.
An active online participant since 1993, all the way back to those mosaic browser days and a full-time digital marketer for the past 10 years, I help growth-seeking businesses of varying sizes with their digital marketing strategy, website requirements, visibility on the major digital channels and web analytics – to generate leads, sell online, build brand awareness & successfully move their prospects along the marketing & sales funnel from wherever they join it.
Previously I worked in the ICT sector for 25 years with marketing, sales and management experience in the office automation, networking, telecoms, audio visual, intelligent buildings & broadband fibre niches at FTSE 350 & SME management team levels.
I’m sometimes asked why I chose digital marketer as a second career as opposed to something far simpler like a astroglaciologist? Well, albeit the actual ICT sector work was for the most part enjoyable, by early 2011 at the age of 46, I realised one dark, freezing cold winter’s morning at 4AM I no longer wanted to travel long distances to simply ‘get to work’ and was at my happiest dressed in these:
By mid-2012, my full-time digital marketing vocation was up & running and I now have 10,000+ hours of real world SEO & digital marketing experience in my rear view mirror which is a very polite way of saying the likelihood I know more about the subject matter than you is extremely high..
Did I tell you music from the 1975-1995 period dominates my playlists?
By all accounts – there’s a reason as to why this is the case.
